New to the forum
Hello to all. I'm the proud owner of a 2006 XJ8, which would have been a 2006 Cadillac STS, if I hadn't taken my wife with me to test-drive the Jag. I'm glad she came, and I'm glad she told me to quit crying and "spend a buck" to get a little class. It's been a sweet ride since I've had it (almost a year) with nary a complaint! Well, maybe just one, the Ipod module doesn't want to charge the Ipod, but I'll leave that for another time. Luck, to all!

Welcome Quemfala, and nice story and much better pick than the STS that's for sure. Just watch out for the wife saying things like "just spend a buck", you'll find yourself in a hole a little bit bigger than an unchargeable ipod. LOL!
As for the ipod, can you make sure that the ipod still charges on the computer. Also, if you charge the ipod on the computer, does the module still play the music? Have you checked the fuses? Let us know a little more.

"Yes" to all of the above! It does charge on every other device, and it will play from my computer; it will also charge from the cigarette lighter charger-player that plays through an fm signal. I'm just flusteredby it! The dealer tech tried everything and nothing seems to work. The best I have is that it will play in the car until the ipod battery runs down, then take it out, charge it at home, and start the process all over again! Oh, well! It'll keep me on my toes, remembering when it needs to be charged!

Good luck man, and maybe the module just went bad. Sometimes it's hard to come to such conclusions.

welcome! and a great choice, good thing the wifey regulated with you lol sts's are pretty nice but def dont compare to an XJ8 esp if the sts was a 6 cyl. I considered a V before my R but it couldnt touch the Jag in lots of ways. I dont do the IPOD thing still burn CDs weekly old school lol.
