New to Forum... and new to Jaguars : X-Type 2005
Hi Folks,
I've been lurking around your forum a bit since I got a 2005 X-Type some weeks back. I am keen on asking some questions... and so thought I should introduce myself a little.
I live in Melbourne, Florida area. And I work in software. I am mechanically inclined and can follow diagrams/descriptions/manuals/maps fairly well... but I am not especially auto-mechanically inclined.
The new to me X-type sedan is running very smoothly now (after $ome $ignificant injector, brake and air conditioning repairs). The car had been sitting for a number of years in an "open" garage, covered and somewhat weather-protected, but not climate controlled. The fix-it place I go to for many years now is not a Jaguar specialist... but they seem good and don't cut corners.
I hope I can learn enough about maintaining and specifics about thisJaguar to keep it running well and keep costs low, and so enjoy it longer.

Wow... UK, US, OZ....
I appreciate the international welcome!
I've been through Sydney, and I've been through Summerville via hwy 17. I've been to the UK a couple times.. but not Durham I think. But I'm listening to "The Last Kingdom" book/audiobook series by Bernard Cornwell... so...
I've edited my signature. And I think I've seen most threads/ideas related to my first question. And I'll probably enjoy the "how to" of section for my X-Type.
Thank you,
WLHarrell
