Greetings from the Smoky Mountains! Just picked up our first Jag - an '03 XK8, and looking forward to many miles and smiles.
Background: Wife and I are retired and loving the "Peaceful Side of the Smokies". Been playing with little British cars for 20-odd years, having restored a '57 TR3, a '73 MGB convertible, an '80 TR8, a '69 MGB GT, converted to 3.4 V6, and most recently, a Victor MG TF replica. The two Triumphs were sold a while back, and now that we've bought the XK8, I'll be selling the '73 and '69 MGBs. The TF replica is just too much fun to let go, and will give me the vintage car "fix" when needed.
Am a moderator on the British Car Forum, so may "know" some of you already. And aside from the obvious attraction to British cars, I also dabble in music, playing banjo and guitar in a local weekly jam group. We also have recently purchased a motor home and plan to do some traveling around the country. So many hobbies; so little time!
Anyway, looking forward to advice, commiseration and camaraderie here!

Welcome to the forums Mickey,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Southern Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...rn-midwest-67/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
