Just a note to say hi.
Purchased a 1999 XK8 Convertible, Red with Tan roof and interior. Right at 80K miles, third owner. Replaces my old 5.0 mustang vert. Goes with my CTS-V (very fast) and my wife's Pacifica (very practical).
Absolutely the most beautiful automobile I know. Hope it is more reliable than my 66 MG was. Have to give them credit for personality though. Expect I will need help eventually, but for now I am reading the postings and trying to use the advice there first before being a bother. Looks like a fun group.
Ta!

Thanks for the welcome. Seems like a friendly bunch. To answer, I only eat the Ice Cream, but do wish I had a bit of their income. Not a split but merged personality I guess. 20 years with the wife and the cars are in both our names so I thought it would be a nice thing to do. I suspect that you will really only have to deal with Mike.
Would love to post a pic, but the site says my flies are to large, so I will have to reduce them a bit.
Now off to get a Wiper arm puller.

Welcome Mike and Gerry, I'm new here was well and it sounds like we've had a similar taste in past cars.
I've had a couple of past Mustangs and loved them. However, about a month ago while out shopping for a mid-life-crisis Mustang my wife and I saw an 01 XKR convertible and loved it.
New Jaguar converts as well.
This forum has been a great help to learn about the car.
