Question New to forum today

Hello,
Recently acquired 2005 S type 6 cylinder. Work in LA live in Ventura. Went to view some of the pdf files, looks like repair videos but was refused access?? What might I be doing wrong? Anyway I have an issue with a noisy steering wheel that squeaks while turning. And I have a climate control display that flashes on and off very fast. It doesn't do the flashing all the time sometimes it displays normally but in either mode the a/c and heater work fine? Anyone cre to comment or steer me in a certain direction. Also under search I've put in a subject but not gotten a search of the threads.

thanks
db

Hi, Dirk; welcome to the forum! You're not doing anything wrong. Once you've made at least ten posts, you'll become a member and you'll be able to access things. So, keep reading and posting.

There are plenty of great people here who share their knowledge and experience and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help. I'm not one of them. lol I'm here to learn about my temperamental X Type and have fun. I just cheer on from the sidelines as people get their cars fixed.

Jaguars are wonderful cars. However, sometimes they take more than maintenance; patience and a sense of humor are often helpful.

So, enjoy the forum and post away!

Hello, the power steering noise can be fixed with an additive. I think it's $10
The flashing lights can sometimes be the climate control module.
