Hi folks,
I'm located in fairfield,CA. I have an '85' XJS. I'm a good mechanic but this is my first Jag. It's very used so I have a lot of debugging to look forward to. I Will greatly appreciate any assistance provided in this regard.
Thanks,
Mort

Welcome.

The 85 is a SIMPLE car, really, and the V12 is just as simple.

Dont worry about the "Name", that is all it is, and is meant to scare people, hence we get these cars for a song.

The hardest bit will be your "debugging", and that will lead to drinking, cussing, drinking, wrench throwing, drinking. Get the puicture??

Post up your queries ONE per thread, that way teh answers will be better managed.

Learn the art of "thinking outside the square", and you and that Jag will be soul mates for a very long time.

Had mine for 18 years, and really do miss it still, but I simply cannot get in and out of one anymore, so the S Types will suffice for now.

Welcome to the forum Mort Snurd,

Follow Norri's link in post #4 to the XJS forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
