Hi all!

I joined to research a 2005 XJ8 VDP that I am considering purchasing.

Besides interesting cars, I enjoy Motorcycles, collecting guns, Henckels knives and shooting pool.

Welcome, Dave. The XJ you are researching is a bit newer than mine. But I assume is has the same great ride. I was planning to sell our '86 XJ6 but my family won't let me. They love it. So do I, but I thought one old Jag at a time was enough. We also have a '90 XJS that I plan to keep a while. That's what I drive when I'm not on my motorcycle. Looks like my son will inherit the XJ6 for now.

Do you currently have a bike? If so, what do you ride? I commute daily on my '97 Honda VFR750. Great commuter: sips gas; nimble in traffic; gobs of power throughout the RPM range. Loads of fun.

BTW, you have a great name...
