New guy from Seattle
Good day all, just checking in here. I just picked up a 2000 XKR vert, taking delivery Saturday morning. Been doing some reading, trying to learn all I can about the new car. I look forward to interacting with the site, being an avid forum goer and all.
I traded a 2004 Pontiac GTO for the car, just wanted something different and this fits the bill.
So, off I go, time to learn!

Hah, I just read the forum guidelines and see that the admin, Jim, lives in Glasgow! My Mom was born and raised in Rutherglen, most of my family lives in Glasgow. We are the only branch here in the states.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!
Jim, once I get the car home, there will be plenty of pictures! As for visiting, I shold be over to see my mate in The Toon (he's a Geordie, he's a Geordies son..lol) and my family, summer of 2012. The plan is to rent something nice and take a "north to south and back again" road trip and see the UK. I'll keep you aprised of the goings on and would love to grab a few pints!
Rev. Sam, I actually stumbled upon the XKR at a local "feeder lot" that sells trade ins that don't quite fit on a Nissan dealers used car lot. I was looking at a 5 series BMW and saw the car, I pretty much had to have the car.
Being an avid detailer (I am in Marine sales by trade but detail as a hobby) I told them not to put a wash rag to the car in prep. I will be taking the car to my warehouse Saturday and doing a full on pant correction detail. Foam the car, clay it and the do a 3 step polish finished with some sealant and wax. I will be sure to post plenty of pictures!
I can't wait to get this car home!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
