Talking New here - Just bought a 2001 XKR $9k

Hey all! Glad to be a part of this community. I just bought a 2001 XKR with 95,070 miles for $9k flat from a used car dealership. List price was $11k but before the test drive, it got the "green shower" lol

Was this a good buy? Runs great! only issue is the convertible top, which i will be buying the replacement lines here. The ABS light was on, but then vanished. There is some small clicking sound coming from the engine, good or bad?????

no check engine light, non salvage, came with 20" wheels, fastest car ive ever bought....

Welcome to the forum Domokun,

Far better to get the green shower before you buy it!

Follow Norri's link to the XK8/XKR tecvh section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

It would do no harm to read the OBD codes. You'll need your own OBD reader - many threads on them here.
