Default new Hi all

Hi all just got my first jaguar a s-type 3l v6 1999 yes its old needs a new sill (body kit hides the problem) and head gasket fitting (water temp goes up v-fast), and yes there is water in the boot. But i think it will be fine. coming from a 97 tdi ford galaxy that has run the kids around for the last 12 years, hope the jag will give me the mid life boost i need. Sill will be done this week (just got a mig welder), but i am a bit upset at the cost of a gasket set £300 in the uk, and new head bolts have to be fitted at the same time £7 each x16. Any way i will post some pics as i do the work maybe would help somone out.
ps...
My kids love the s type, james(10) is looking forward to see if it is faster than the galaxy (70bhp standard 190bhp with all mods 1/4 mile 12.02 sec top speed 145 mph)

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
