Hey there folks,
I originally posted back in March 2014, but never got around to posting my intro.

I'm and Architectural Visualisation Artist, working from Sydney. Living on the Central Coast.

I've always been in love with the unique stylings of the Jaguar, and purchased my Black 1974 SII XJ6 with the (abomination) Chev 327 V8 back in 2008.

It was running on LPG, and it was great! (bar the usual electrical gremlins) until it overheated on the F3, had a cracked head and later found out a cracked block as well.
I decided I loved it enough to invest in building a new engine for it.
Spec'd up a Chev 385ci stroker. T400R transmision, and upgraded exhaust.
Also wanted it converted back to running on petrol.

After a whole lot of expense, several years, and a wife and 2 children later.
I still haven't finished. And I've discovered possible terminal rust in the frame in the rear end. *sigh*

So, I'm on the look out for a similar vintage XJ6 SII with no rust, to put all my awesome parts into.

Here's my ride in her glory days:

Anyway, that's my bit,
Evan

Welcome, eventually.

You should be able to find a decent donor somewhere like Carsales, etc.

Good luck.

Ooo!! A BLACK series II! My Favorite!
I'm sorry to know it's been infested by the Rust Worm after all that work and expense, but just about any 70s car seems to suffer that fate.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
