Not quite a happy one tho...stuck in park when on incline...rocked the car and got it out...but makes me very nervous to park now ... I apologize for not introducing myself before posting..but was in a panic...I really need help figuring out how NOT to ever have this problem again..

Welcome!! Do you set the parking brake when you are on an incline? I never trust just the transmission's parking pawl to hold a car on a hill. What I do is I engage the parking break before I put the car in park (with my foot on the brake of course).

Michaels' advice reminds me of the bad habit I have of relying on the parking pawl instead of setting the handbrake!

If the lockup in Park is more than having to firmly apply the foot brake before moving the selector out of Park, I'm sure the S-Type experts will have an answer.
