I am just waiting to pick up my Jaguar X type 2.0 diesel estate. I can't wait to give it a good drive, and I am sure I will have lots of questions for the forums over the coming months, and hopefully years! I live in Buxted, East Sussex, UK.

Welcome to the forum basso,

When do you get your hands on it?

With JTIS installed and good advice already from Chris, you should know all about it even before taking delivery.

As you've already found your way to the X-Type section, there's no need for me to give you a link.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I will probably pick the car up tomorrow - it needs a new MOT (ran out in February next year) and a service, plus passenger side airbag warning light stays on too long, which is being sorted too. It has done 98,000 so not sure what service that would be.

Service interval is 10K miles so it will be a very overdue 90K or an early 100K.

Follow this link to the Service Schedule to see what is included in the Schedule:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-diesel-67611/

The Schedules go up to 60K and then start with the 10K again. A 90K is the same as the 30K and a 100K the same as the 40K and so on.

This is one of many useful threads in the X-Type HOW TO section.
