New to Jag ownership
Hi
Always wanted a jag but with 4 daughters a wife and an ex in my life my pockets are normally empty.. Now I have some time and space I trawled the Web and was lucky to find an XJ8 4.2 2003 (x350) local to me that looked clean and well kept.. Just a few scrapes to show the age.. A bit like it's new owner. I live in Portsmouth UK, work for a Canadian company, travel on business a fair bit and love yacht racing and now my dark blue jag.. Just need to stop my kids buying me driving gloves, flat cap and pipe for Christmas.

So in other words, you have added a new way to keep your pockets empty? 😂 Seriously though, its no worse than most other cars...always a crapshoot one way or the other. Of you love them, they'll love you back far as I'm concerned and I love them enough that I have 3! Welcome!

Hello,
Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
Driving gloves aren't actually a bad idea! I've always worn gloves when driving, so leather driving gloves seemed a natural progression when I got my Jag. Now I have a pair in the door pocket of every rig I own. I wouldn't be without them.

I have had three stereo types thrown at me now I have my first jag and it seems to be pointing to Xmas presents 😒
1. Arthur Daley... Long camel coats and Fedoras
2. 60 something golfer.. Leather gloves, pipe and flat cap
3. London gangster.. Black polo neck, Balaclava and a sawn off
Hum...may be a combination of those but aspire to none.. I just wanted a real car with some style
