Default New to Jaguar

Hello all,
My name is Jean-Pierre (JP for everyone). I am originally from France, but have been working and living in the US for the past 30 years. After a string of Alfa Romeo (1960 Giulietta Sprint, 1964 Giulia Spider Veloce) and others (1967 R8 Gordini Groupe 2, Ford Fairlane 1967 convertible) I bought a 3.8 liter 1960 Mk2 automatic in May 2012. I am the third owner and I have all the docs since it left the factory.
It had been "restored", which means that the right things were done (on paper) and a lot of money was spent (I counted $52K in bills), but if the base is sound, everything has been put together wrongly and needs to be redone to even reach a "3" level. I am slowly getting there.
After 20 years in Boston, we moved to Naples, Florida, where there are at least four Mk2 that I know of, including mine.
Thank you for a great Forum.
JP

Welcome to the forum JP,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

That's a real Jaguar! Always one of my favourites.

I can see you've found your way to the MkI / MkII tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link USA Lower Atlantic - NC SC FL GA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
