New to Jaguar and to this forum
Good evening
I am a first time owner of a Jaguar and my decision to buy was based partly on the great forum presence this club has on line. I am pleased to be a part of this group.
I purchased a 1998 XK8 with 19,000 miles from southern California. It is a Carnival Red version with Cashmere interior or as the previous owner called the colour Carnal Red. It is a true showroom condition roadster. The top had been down approx. 3 times and the tonneau cover had not been used at all. A very nice pristine example of a great tourer. I drove it back to Vancouver and enjoyed the trip very much.
I live on the west coast and am anxious to get to drive it here however that will be a while as it is too messy to drive such a nice car anywhere at least until April/May just in time for the British Car meet at the Van Dusen Gardens here in Vancouver.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. It's mainly because of the interwebs and forums such as this that many of us, I feel, have taken the step to own a luxury auto and feel like we can have some control over the cost of ownership. Thanks again for the work you all contribute to this forum.
It is a rare beast of any marque that is 17 years old with so few miles and in such wonderful condition. I enjoy low mile cars.
The trip form Ca. took approx. two and half days some along the coast but most on I5 and without the top down.
I will check out the Canadian section. I plan on registering for the British Auto show at Van Dusen next May.
