Just discovered Jaguar Forums a couple of weeks ago as I was searching internet for help with a new problem with our (my wife and me) 1997 XK8 -- she drives it and I get to fix it. We bought the jag in 2003 and it had 33k miles on it then. It's now up to 78K. Had a few hic ups over the years but have gotten through, usually with the recommendations and help of others. I've always enjoyed working on some of my cars but have been a little afraid of tackling this one on my own. I think that I'm there now on the Jag and looking for some help from other forum members who know alot more about this car than I do currently. Actually, I'm looking forward to taking this car and making it my hobby since my wife is not quite that adventurous. "My" Jag is a great chocolate brown/black convertible and needs a new ecm unit according to the dealer. That will be my first major project. I'm looking forward to being a forum member
