I think this is a great forum!... I just got a 2012 XF Portfolio, Azurite Blue and London Tan interior, for my wife as a Christmas present.

After I drove the new car home, I got a warning light that the battery was not charging ( you should have seen the look on my wife's face when the error light came on ). I immediately called the dealer and they brought a flatbed tow truck to pick it up. The problem was a voltage control module that was failing. Apparently, the part was manufactured by Bosch in France. The tow truck operator mentioned that his aunt bought a new 2012 XF as well and got the same error warning. I mentioned this to the service manager and he's writing a report to the manufacturer describing the problem.

BTW, I also belong to the Bimmer and Crossfire forums as well.

Lollyz,
I'll make note of that! We're walking distance to the Wind Festival and we go every year. My son is in cub scouts and we're there selling cotton candy for the Pack.

Love to see your XKE.

Oh cool! If you have seen the singer with Lady Kaye and the Kings of Swing, that's me! We will need to buy some cotton candy!
That's me in the teal suit!
