Default New Jaguar ownr from Richmond, VA.

Hello fellow enthusiasts. Please allow me to introduce myself and my Jaguar. I am a new Jaguar owner, with a new to me 2002 5-Speed X-Type. I searched long and hard to find this car, as I have wanted a Jaguar for a long time. The issue being I insisted on a manual transmission car. How I found this particular car and why I was so eager to get it, was that it was the one and only 5-Speed I car I looked at in which everything worked. That was the deal maker for me. When I say everything, I mean everything, right down to the last little light bulb. I looked at a number of X-Types and every one with a manual transmission seemed to need "something", that the owner professed was a simple, easy fix. Which of course I replied "then when its fixed, I'll come back". The other thing that caught my attention about this car was that it didn't have the usual laundry list of recent repairs. For whatever reason, the previous owner claimed to never have a lick of trouble with her, other than an A/C compressor, for which he had the receipt. Other than oil changes, brakes and tires, that was the cars only recent repair.

Anyway, the next thing I did was find this site. I am sure I will have a million question and want to discuss everything Jaguar as often as possible. So please let this be our introduction and formal Hello. I am not clear if my photobucket pictures will even post this early in the game, but I will throw them up, just in case.

Neil

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, I seem to not be able to send messages yet, but would love to meet up with forum members. Especially one with THREE X-Types! I did add my info, but as mentioned, I suspect it wont appear till I get the requisite posts. That shouldn't take long, I have lots of questions.
