Default New to Jaguar - XFR-S

Hi All,

Andrew here from Portland, OR.

Recently acquired 2014 XFR-S in French Racing Blue, which it seems like 90% of them are, with the rear wing.

I came over from a series of Audi's -- AWD is a great thing to have in the PacNW -- and I am one car at a time kind of guy. I drove all the usual suspects: S6,RS7,M5/6, E63 -- but took a leap on the XFR-S having never seen one in person. It felt more "special" compared to its peers, and I appreciate the intentional simplicity of the controls and driving choices. Driving a E63 of M5/6 feels a bit like you need a Ph.D to really get through all the settings.

Very pleased with the quality of the interior, which was a major question of mine coming from an Audi. (2010 S5 4.2V8 with APR supercharger and Milltek Cat-back system).

I had planned to work on the exhaust, but am liking the sounds it makes. It has a nice bark to it when you open it up, and mellow in town. Great idle noise also. I wish it had 30-50% more exhaust note in the cabin. Other than clear mask, tint, and some cat valve stem covers its all stock and will likely stay that way for a bit.

I'm not in love with the wheels -- it has the "stock" polished alloy wheels (didn't get a chance to order the black ones as I would have preferred). I think given the black exterior trim of the car, a wheel with more black/grey may be an early mod.

As a frist question I would be very interested to learn more about a good winter option for tires in the Pirelli 265/35R20 front and 295/30R20 rears.
