Default New Kentucky Member - 2004 S-Type 4.2L

New member to the forum from Kentucky. I have a 2004 S-Type 4.2L, which I purchased brand new & have been the only driver of the vehicle. I'm interested in getting help & advice on several issues I have with the vehicle, but I have very little experience with DIY car repairs (I am somewhat handy with certain tools, as I've done a lot of home repairs/renovations). Most of the repairs I'd like to do are not engine related, & are more related to electrical issues like the front headlamps sagging, replacing interior overhead console light button (which I've been told by my Jag tech will require the entire overhead console to be replaced), finding information on where I can purchase replacement light bulbs for the vanity mirrors on my visors, along with several other issues I'd like to eventually get repaired (hopefully with the help & knowledge of the members of this forum, rather than through my Jag dealership). I look forward to any/all of the insight & advice members of this forum will have to offer, & hoping to be able to maybe perform some of the repairs myself.
Thank You In Advance!
Cheers!
Erin

Welcome to the forum Erin,

Well you can't blame the PO for anything!

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You may also like to visit the US Southern MidWest Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/southern-midwest-ar-la-ms-ky-tn-al-67/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Thank you, I will check out those links. I've already found some helpful information on this forum that's related to some of the repairs i want to do on my S-Type, but I'm a little nervous & apprehensive to actually do them due to my lack of experience working on cars. I'd like to try to locate some members on the forum who live in the surrounding area who might have some knowledge about doing S-Type repairs.

Erin,

A post in either the S-Type tech section or the US Southern MidWest Region section (see the links in my post #2 above) should turn up members near you if you are OK to post details of your town or even general area.
