Default New kid on the block

Whazammo has entered the garage, (sound of tool boxes locking, and creepers rolling under chassis').

Been lurking here, and getting updated on the modern "once-in-awhile" Jag that would wander into my shop . . . now I have "joined" this Forum due to my having a bevy of Jags to work on here in remote Oregon (long after I retired and closed my public shop).

We have only one Factory Dealer here in Oregon, located in the NW corner of the state, making "everyone" more than 75 miles away from help, and all of us who do our own work, now about the parts issues.

A very long history of Brit product exposure from 1956-on, in autos, lorries, busses, oil field, Diesel, the Royal Navy, Motorcycles, and Marine propulsion, plus having owned some 20 great Austin, Rootes, Jag, and Leyland daily drivers, rally and race cars. And a BMC Journeyman stint with some Factory Training, on Jag, Rolls, and BMC back in the mid 1960's.

When I retired and opened "hobby shops" (for pre-1980 Jeep , street rods, and race), I almost never saw anything British here in Oregon.

Now after some 50 years away I am a closed/home shop still restoring, but now exclusively for pre-1998 British/Italian product only, I have five XJ chassis customers, and quit a few BMC badges to frustrate over.

I have been " saved" on board these pages many times and decided to become legal.

Welcome to the forum whazammo,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've been using the tech forums for a while so there's no need for links from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

You have at least 2 things going for you here;
1) you're becoming legal
2) you're branching out to Jaguars.
LOL
