Car has broken down on second day of ownership dealer believes Turbo gone waiting on a update from Harwoods as we speak --- NIGHTMARE!!!!! I have paid cash for this car and now unsure if I want this repaired or my money back as feel will have no confidence in the car

Welcome to the forum John,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

That has to be the worst possible start with a new car. However, far better to have it go now rather than a few months down the line. Please keep us posted on progress.

Follow this link XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XF/XFR forum for help, advice and information.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

welcome to the forum and the Jag family - sorry for your troubles, but sometimes the low mileage or lack of driving can lead to troubles - these cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. Hopefully the dealer will be able to resolve in short order. In the interim - plenty of info and support here simply follow the links Graham has provided.

Just had call from dealer gasket had failed near the V. Will carry out further tests to establish if any other damage to engine. Have been assured that if there is Jaguar will replace and fit with a new engine as still under manufacturers warranty.
Still concerned that this happened in first place. anyone had similar gasket failures.

John,

I see you've posted details of this in XF/XFR forum.

It'll be interesting to see if any other members report a similar issue.

If it's the 2011 Driver's Handbook you want, try downloading it directly from my MediaFire account:
