Just thought i'd check in with a small intro. My name is AL. Bought me a 2004 X-type with manual trans. yesterday. Bought it from a one owner so now its my turn to take care of it. You guys are kind of the reason I bought it over BMW, Mercedes, or an Audi, because I love working on my own car and Jag seems to be the nicest of all to me. I will be hovering all over the site to check up on what I must do to keep her purring all the time. Thanks in Advance..

An x-type is a good car to cut your teeth on, if its your first jag. It sounds like you got a good, used car. Hopefully, you won't have to be under the hood or chassis too often!

Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
