Hi everybody ( Dr. Nick voice). My name is Haseeb and I live in Milwaukee. I used to own 1999 Vanden Plas about 5 years ago, until the dreaded tensioners broke on me. My friend was driving when the car suddenly died so I really didn't have any idea what happened. I thought it was something to do with fuel so I kept trying to start it and when it did, I heard a loud bang and car turned off. I took it to a nearest mechanic and he charged me $1000 to tell me that my valves are bent. Anyways I ended up giving the car to my friend after couple months. Then couple weeks ago I get a letter from police that my car has been impounded. I call up my friend and he tells me he gave it to his brother and he doesn't want it. So I went and picked it up for $250. In a way I ended up paying $250 for storage for 5 years. Body is in same condition as I left it except the chrome trim on front passenger door. So I will be swapping the engine out soon and I will post few questions I have in correct thread.
