I grew up in Valley Stream long Island, my 1st real job was working at the Brooklyn Navy Shipyard. As soon as i could afford it I bought my 1st new car a 1964 Austin Healey Sprite. In 1965 they closed the shipyard and i transferred to the Long Beach Navy yard. Saved my money and in 1968 I bought a new EType coupe, which i still own. So i would have 4 seater i than bought a 1963 Studebaker Avanti which I still own and turned into a show car. In 2009 I bought a radical custom 61 T bird, to see goggle (61 t bird firestar) and john d'Agostino site will come up with my t bird pics, from the Petersen Museum My E type has been sitting for over 13 years and now i about to do a full restoration, as soon as i find a good shop. For fun I ride a BIG DOG chopper, at least for the next few years. While i am big into the car hobby for relaxation i am a gourmet cook which is way less stressy than cars r.

Welcome to the forum Nick,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I've moved your other post about headlamp covers to the E-Type tech forum. Here's the direct link to it:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e...covers-146480/

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e-type-xk-e-59/ to the main E-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

wow thanks allof you for your kind words. I will be able to post a pic of my E type in a couple of weeks. Meantime if there is any interest i could always post a shot of my 1963 Stude Avanti and my radical custom 61 T bird. I guess you will now bw able to figure out howI liketoset up my cars. The E type now has and most likly will be repained the same White with violet pearl I also considering a few other mild changes. However It will not look the the E type that Raymond Lowey did
