Hello! I am a licensed real estate agent in Tampa, Florida. After 25 years in banking, I needed a change and a new career. Speaking of change, I just purchased my first Jaguar a couple of days ago. Am I nervous, you bet? My last two cars have been a Mercedes C280 and ML320. The ML320 lasted 10 years. While I did not purchase the used car on impulse, I am skeptical about the bad press the Jaguar X-Type is known for. After test driving several other cars ranging from low to high maintenance, I decided to purchase a pre-owned 2004 Jaguar X-Type 3.0. So far... so good ...other than some negative feedback from close friends. While the rumors of Jaguars are overwhelmingly tiresome, I love my Jag.


I can finally check "buy a Jaguar" from my bucket list. Not that simple when it comes to questions like why the glove box will not open or why the engine light is on? To ease my concerns, the well known Dealership that serviced the car prior to my signing on the dotted line, suggested I take the car to a Jaguar Certified Dealership to reset the sensor and maintenance the locked glove box. Other than this the car would have been rated as 'mint condition" and sold for $3,000. Your suggestions are welcome.

I begin to think maybe Jaguar owners are more adventurous (not to mention Interesting) than owners of Brand X cars. I mean, I mostly drive a Brand X, and almost all our club members own a Brand X besides their Jaguars, but at least they're up for a challenge and don't believe everything they hear. You seem to be one of those.
