Hi All,
Just a quick introduction as I have just joined this Jaguar forum. I am English and grew up in South East England but now reside in San Jose, California. I have always loved Jaguars but until now have never owned one, but I would like to change that. I do own a classic 1969 MG MGC which is all original but have always dreamed of a classic Jaguar. Unfortunately the XKE, MK2 Jaguars are way out of my range but I have always liked the XJ12C and XJ6C so have started to investigate these cars with the intention of purchasing.
I will be digging through the forum posts and any other information online about XJ coupes with the intention of finding a reasonably sound 1975 model as this avoids the smog checks in CA.
Looking forward to being part of the forum and learning a lot about Jaguars from the knowledgeable folks here.
Many thanks
Jay

Hello, Jay,
I wish you success in your pre-smog Xj6C search. Mine was built a mere 5 months too late to avoid the SMOG cops.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Jay,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
The XJC was the one I really wanted but had to settle for the four door when they were current models. They still look superb and I'd happily have a good one now but I needn't tell you what the English climate does to 1970's Jaguars!
Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link US Western - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
