Default New member-16 F-Type

Good morning! Finally took possession of a 2016 F-Type Base Coupe! I had been actively looking for nearly 4 months and took delivery (literally) just yesterday.
It's an Ultimate Black (1AG) coupe with black interior. 13000 miles. No build sheet yet, the options as best as I can tell and in no particular order: leather seat inserts, black package (interior and exterior), glass roof, vision and climate, 18" Vela wheels (polished by previous owner), active sport exhaust.
So, first impressions. This is the most visually balanced car I have ever owned. The rear 3/4 view is fantastic! It may seem strange to first talk "looks" rather than performance, but I think I've stared at it more than driven. The performance was a given. It corners and accelerates better than my 57 years will attempt. Last night, bringing it home from our restaurant, I got on it because my brother in law wanted to "hear it go". Pretty f'n surprising! But I'm older, and the thoughts quickly turn to responsibilities and consequence.
I purchased it through Carmax. It had appeared on their app in Riverside California and the miles clinched it. I didn't want another black car, but 13k swayed me, and in the end, the entire Carmax experience was on of the easiest ever. This is the 29th car I've bought in 40 years, and it was the best "dealership" buy in years. Fair price, 24 hour test drive, flexible delivery, it was brought to our restaurant, most of the papers were e-signed and copies provided. It showed up fueled, polished, registered and insured with no doc fees.
There it sits, under the carport, in my wife's spot, where my food smelly butt won't drive it till probably Monday! Hopefully everything works out, as the Greeks say, ptoo ptoo ptoo!
