New Member - 2000 XJ8 L
Hello all,
I frequently visit these forums researching technical and mechanical information. I purchased my XJ8 from my previous boss, unknown how many previous owners. This is my second Jaguar owned, my first was a 1984 XJS V12. I had and tried to maintain the XJS for only a few years before handing it off to another (Parts were difficult to come by at affordable prices). Recently my XJ8 has developed transmission issues which seem to have the symptoms of the A drum failure. I have searched these forums and have been pricing parts to repair or replace the transmission. The XJ8 was purchased in Michigan, currently I am living in Winnipeg Canada. Boarder control and import fees makes things difficult at times. Hope to have better posts in the future about a drivable XJ8, or possibly another Jaguar sometime in the future.

It sound like you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
I hope you get the transmission fixed at a sensible cost.

Thanks for that link Graham. I will be sure to check that out. I added the signature shortly after submitting my new member post. I will use this reply as a test to make sure it saved. Lol
