I just noticed that the New member forum post was a MUST. My bad.
I bought the 2012 Italian Racing Red XFR from a dealer in March of 2017. It has 42,000 miles on it.
So far I have absolutely loved the car. It has been the best of both worlds, comfort and performance. It is so refined and practical as a dad car daily driver, yet also a beast if you want it to be. I had never driven anything like this before, it can just leap ahead anytime you press on the gas pedal, no matter your speed. In fact, I had never actually seen an XFR before this one, I had only driven the supercharged V6 and the NA Portfolio V8, so the XFR was a pleasant surprise.
I am a home hobbyist mechanic, I don't typically take my car to anyone for anything except for tires and inspections. I will see how this goes for the Jaguar, it is my main concern for this car. I also have a 2001 Honda S2000, 1979 GMC 1/2 ton pickup, and a 2013 Honda Odyssey minivan. All of those are relatively easy to service and maintain.
I am glad to join the group, I have already been a reader for a while during my research phase. So thank you all for your excellent insight and advice.
Hello, Jim,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
Mostly, a car is a car, and taking care of one is much the same as taking care of another. As you already have one "modern" car, the learning curve should be relatively gentle.
I can see you've already found your way to the X250 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

A belated welcome to the forum from the Carolinas, Jim! Your XFR is beautiful!
There is an active Jaguar club in our area, the Carolina Jaguar Club. If you aren't already a member, be sure to check out the facebook page or website: https://carolinajaguarclub.com/
You'll find the forums very helpful! Welcome aboard!
Thanks everyone! I'll make it a point to try to get to some events this summer. I really don't see XF's around very much, I like being unique but will have to put in the extra effort to find some like minded Jaguar enthusiasts.
