Hi everyone, have joined the forum as I have recently purchased a 2012 (my2013) XJ 3.0d Portfolio, in Metallic Caviar Red, with Ivory interior. One and only previous Jag, was a Supercharged 4.0 V6 XJR...and this XJ is like chalk and cheese!!! I have read some Jag purists are not fans of the X351, but I feel it is light years ahead of my previous XJ. Prior to this car, my last 3 cars were Mercedes E Class Couple, a BMW 520d, and an Audi A5 coupe, so probably about time I bought British :-)
Early days of ownership so far, however, I do love the Big Cat. Have already had the rear windows tinted, and had it carbon cleaned. Although as it only had 37000 miles, there should not have been too much. Next on the shopping list is a remap, with the emphasise on an economy map. I know the Jag is very good on fuel anyway, however, I do around 1500-2000 miles a month (mostly dual carriageway, motorway miles), so as they say, every little helps..good Old Tesco’s. Apologies to any colonial cousins across the pond who do not understand that bit :-)
Would absolutely love to replace the existing Bi Xenons with full LED J Blade front lights....but at the sort of money I have seen bandied around ( spoke to Sam today, he has a set ready to go, plug and play...£2600), no way can I justify that sort of outlay.
Anyway...that’s enough for now, feel free to contact for a chat...I’m on the south coast Bournemouth.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
