Is there a trick to properly seating the two rubber seals in front and behind the black tube seated behind the waterpump

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details. With the XJ, where three engine size options are available, engine capacity is a useful addition if you want technical advice on the powertrain.
