Hi everybody,
I have already posted an issue I have with my 1969 XKE OTS 4.2 . It was a Bonnet issue that remains unresolved.
i purchased the car just before Christmas.
i own a 1967 MGB and 1967 Ford Mustang. Both of these cars are quite simple mechanically speaking. The Jag is much more complicated.
I have spent the last 2 months, basically learning, I now know more about Alternators than I ever thought I needed to know.
I live in Stouffville Ontario, Canada, yes the great white North. Our golf and classic driving season is short, 6 to 7 months. This gives me a lot of time to work on the car, though we do have show horses and they claim some time.
i am retired having sold my metal finishing business 10 years ago. I have a lot of knowledge on plating and metal prep. Unfortunately I never did decorative chrome but have many contacts within the Industry. ( hard chrome yes)
I can work my way through most mechanical issues but the E Type body is a bit of a mystery, I always admired the car but never spent much time looking at panel and door fits. I will resolve this in the Summer.
