Hi to all
i recently purchAsed a bit of a project car - my dream - being a 2000 SType that had a full service history and high mileage but a lot of prior work and a reasonable base from which to start.
i have NO prior experience or knowledge of these or any other car and am doing this to “learn” some different skills. I’m a Building Surveyor usually!
the first query I have is are these cars under-sealed? If so, how often (if ever) does that need renewing? Some cill welding already done (minor) but want to ensure the best protection going forward.
Second is the engine whilst strong and pulls, idles slightly unevenly. Almost like “misfiring”. It’s slightly better having changed plugs, HT leads and oil but still not as smooth as I think it should be.
can anyone offer some opinion and advice?
thanks
