Howdy from Central Texas. New guy here, I've always depended on European motorcycles to keep my aggravation levels at the optimal but am now Jonesing for a Jag. Not sure which model, ultimately an XK150 FHC but more realistically an XJ6/8 to get my feet wet. Will lurk here to hopefully learn what I need to know to make the decision on which year(s) and chassis. Myself, I'm at the 3/4 century mark, retired but work part time at COTA. Do most of my own tool banging but not a pro by any stretch of the imagination.

Welcome to the forums jbellK75,

Good to have you with us.

The XK150's get harder to find with each passing year so don't leave it too long. Check the Modern and Classic model forums for advice and guidance. The 'HOW TO' threads at the top of each are a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

I tried to find a 2007-ish XK back in 2016, it proved to be almost impossible so I gave up bought a 2005 Maserati instead. See my new member post here, I'm now finally replacing the Maserati with an XJL, but still would have loved to find an XK150. Good luck with your search. They come up every so often on Bring-a-Trailer, you should pounce.

safulop, thank you for the message. I bought my current car on BAT, the guy selling it lived less than 5 miles from me which made the whole process easier and I didn't have to figure in $1-2000 in transportation costs.

Thank you for the kind words, I've always found European styling more to my tastes though at times the execution leaves me scratching my head. I had to look up Tehama county, I've lived up and down CA and have family in Santa Rosa and Sac. area but have never been that far north. Cheers.
