Hi
My Name is Jan Schlabowske. I have owned and restored Jaguars since 1958. First one was an XK 140 OTS. Currently own a 1992 XJS, along with a 1993 Bentley. I am in my post retirement years and operate Wedgewood Motor works in Milwaukee. At 85 years old I just can't get away from these great vehicles. In our shop currently Are three 4.2 Engine Rebuilds, a new Martin Robey body Replacement on a S 1 E Type, and new floors in S 1. OTS. A side note is the 100 rear old Lancia with a crack in the block. I have restored ,owned or worked on almost every model from 1937 SS 100 through XK SS up to S 3. I have belonged to the local chapter of JCNA since 1978. I hope to participate in Forum discussions with what ever humble information is still retained in my aged mind.

Welcome to the forums Jan,
Good to have you with us. I've had a look at the photos of some of the recent vehicles in Wedgewood Motor Works. The blue R Type Continental jumped out. I had the later Continental R followed by a Continental GT but the original Continentals are in a different league altogether.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e-type-xk-e-59/ to the E-Type forum for help, advice and information. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Jan,
They say, "Old age and wisdom will overcome youthful enthusiasm Every Time..."or something like that.
I'm thinking you've probably forgotten more about Jag engines than a lot of us will ever know.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
