Seems I have to introduce myself and post several times before my acess becomes "normal." So here we go... I am joining after 5 or so years of ownership of a 2005 XJ8L which is my wife's primary car. I have a bunch of others that I will post in "my garage" once the system allows it. Tom

Welcome to the forum Tom,

It's 3 Days membership AND a minimum of 10 Posts before you get full forum privileges. After that it's automatic and all restrictions are lifted.

I hope the XJ8L has been reliable in the five years of ownership.

Follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X305 section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region section by following this link Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members on the West Coast.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome to this friendly Forum, Tom.
The restrictions are basically to stop spammers - I'm sure you won't find them too irksome.

Hi Team.
Replying here to thank you all for the welcome. Our 2005 XJ8L has been perfectly trouble free for the 5+ years we have owned it, though at the moment we are having the compressor/front-shocks addressed as they are experiencing the expected "low ride" fault now. For the record, my stable has the '05 XJ8L, A '62 Jag EType OTS, a '31 MG Model M Midget, a '49 MG TC, a '56 MGA, a '57 T-Bird, and a '99 BMW Z3.

I apologize in advance for my next 8 posts... since it seems I must post 10 in total before I am a full memeber! So, the next 8 will be rather shallow to get me to 10!!!!!

Tom
