New Member: 91 XJ6 Sovereign
Hello, all. While hunting for a first car for my son, I happened across a Jag for $1100. After a quick discussion with my wife, we agreed that it must be either stolen, horribly disfigured, or somehow else in too-horrid shape to be of any use to our son. But we went to look anyway. What we ended up with was a wonderful XJ6 which had been lovingly looked after until the most recent 6 months of its life, at which point it changed owners. Um, with a clear title as well, I should add
Currently it is in the shop having the differential replaced (the carrier bearing was ridden for about 15K after it started to go, it seems) at which point it will be ready for serious work
I would share some pics of it, at this point, but this forum seems to not have an upload area that I have been able to find. I'll explore a bit.
All of this being said, I'll be exploring the possibilities of upgrading the console to something more modern, and finding some way to get a cup holder in the beastie (something my son specifically requested). Other than this, I'm looking forward to spending too-much money on parts that I break as I try to fix bits of the rascal myself.

Welcome! Hope you get to add your pictures soon. We are picture hounds.
You have to have an external host for your pictures. Then you insert the address into the link for pictures. It's a little icon that looks like a postcard of mountains with a postage stamp on it. You will see it when you go to reply.
We have a "garage" where you can put photos of your car also, and a photo album.
I'm still trying to figure everything out so don't be discouraged!
