My wife and I purchased our 1988 XJ6 (aka XJ40) about 5 years ago for a summer driving car, It originally came from California before it made it to northern Minnesota and has always been stored in the winters.
So far it has been a great cruising car, BUT now it is time to start fixing the little things. First up is the alternator, I pulled (literally) it out this week and am having our local Auto electric shop rebuild it. Next up is the rear door handles that no longer work, then the blinking brake light, and so on.
All of this stuff is what brought me here.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
