Good morning all. Recently purchased a 2006 S-Type R from a dealer in Tampa, FL called Streetside Classics. They have a huge warehouse filled with American muscle cars + one Jaguar sedan. Found them from a classified ad on E-Bay. I picked up the car in April and drove it home to Virginia without any problems. Later had it looked over by Top Line Jaguar in Springfield, VA and had a laundry list of needed repairs, mostly suspension-related. About $8k later I have a fine daily driver which just added a set of Conti Xtreme Contact tires.

I look forward to learning from the members here. My only gripe is about the atrocious headlights on this car. I cleaned the lenses successfully with headlight lens cleaner from Griot’s Garage (highly recommended). But I have to drive everywhere with the brights on in order to navigate unlit roads. Any upgrade suggestions would be welcomed.

2006 Jag STR on the Shenandoah Parkway last fall.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar S-type!
I'm sorry about the headlights, maybe they need adjusted.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
