Default New member announcement

Hi guys, would just like to introduce myself to the forum. The main purpose of joining the forum was for help and advice from you guys who know more about jaguars and anything to do with jaguars than I do. We are looking to buy a 4.2 supercharged v8 for our race car, and were after some dimensions of the engine and also the weight. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can get that from??

Thanks in advance

Rob

Welcome to Jaguar Forums Rob,

Good to have you with us.
I'd say the best bet is to post in the general tech area General Tech Help - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum with a thread title to catch the eye of all the supercharged guys.
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum Rob,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

I've read the figure of
200 kilograms (441 lb) for the V8 but can find no verification of this in Jaguar publications.

JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information System) gives neither weight nor dimensions for the V8 unit.

The Jaguar Bridgend Engine Plant in South Wales must have a PR Department. Drop them a line?

Graham
