Welcome to the Forums.

The Members in the XJ (X351) Tech Section, just down the Home Page a tad, will have answers for all that.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums JC,

Good to have you with us. You could have more success if you search for catalytic converter. As for the cranking, all modern Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition and charge. The click suggests yours may be borderline. Worth having it tested before considering more complex (and costly) possible causes. Keeping it on a battery tender is also recommended.
