Thumbs up New Member from Canada!

Hi Folks!

My name is Dave and I live in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada ... population : 12,000! And yet, I've seen a early model XK8 silver convertible around town as well!

My wife and I recently purchased a 2001 XKR Convertible (Sapphire Blue with Tan interior) with 100,000 kms on it. This is our first Jag!

The car has not had the timing tensioners upgraded (ok ... stop cringing!) but I just ordered a complete timing chain replacement kit (including primary/secondary timing tensioners and gaskets). I'm going to have her towed to the local garage do the work. I just don't want to take the chance ...

Until then, it's sitting in my driveway ... taunting me. I just want ... to ... take ... her ... out ... for ... a ... drive!

Anyhow, I've been reading a lot of information within this forum and feel that it's like a family whereas lots of good experience is shared by all.

Chat with you later!

Dave

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Since I'm new to Jaguar, just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for local repair shops near Tillsonburg that they'd recommend. I'm using a local repair shop who was hesitant about working on the XKR. Prefer to deal with experience with Jags.

Thanks!

Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Mike's link in post #4 to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Best to ask the question about Tillsonburg, Ontario repair shops in the Region forum.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
