Good Morning All,
Just bought my first Jaguar, a 2000 XKR, in beautiful condition. I ‘m coming off of years of BMW ownership, with a Z4 and before that, a Z3. The XKR has always turned my head, and is second only to the series 1 E-Types in my mind.
Could not be happier!

Welcome to the forums George 1958,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Thank you!
No mods in mind yet. I’m just concerned with getting the car as tight and pristine as possible at this point. I had done some suspension and engine mods on my BMW Z4, and even more on my Z3, but this Jag is a different vehicle altogether. I don’t see any reason to start changing what is already nicely done, with the exception of possibly replacing older, fragile parts with parts that are more durable. My Z4 broke a lower radiator hose while I was on the highway, and by the time I waded through rush hour traffic and got it parked, the aluminum engine block had warped. I do not want to go through that again!
