Hi All,

I just got myself an XJ12 Sovereign, 82, gray market.
I told my wife it is the father-son bonding project. She reminded me that our son is 4 years old... lol
Well, the engine is missing a lot... when I can get it running. Still, I will deal with it when the weather gets better. I will be reading a lot of posts here.

I also have as a daily driver a 95 Range Rover Classic (last year hand made) with 180k miles, and a 65 Riley Elf (a mini with Rolls Royce spirits).

Before I had a 90 XJS Convertible, a 85 XJS Coupe, a 74 MGB Roadster, and a 71 Authi Mini Cooper.

I do not know if it is the handling, the seating position, the whining noises, or the love for Lucas Electrics, but I keep getting British cars... And yes, my cars do not see the mechanic. I am a week-end mechanic warrior.

welcome aboard canario great to have you here with us and thanks for a nice intro with good info!

Please check out the relevant section for your ride and you will find good info there, especially in the FAQ quick link thread.

The off topic section can be fun and there's always the regional section so you can see who is around!

I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view all the sites features....

Sounds like you'll be adding as much to the site as you might be taking....nice one

Thank you all!
As requested, here is a link for pictures of the Jag and the Riley Elf.

And I like that Scottish Flag... same as the Tenerife Flag, where I was born!

OPPPPSSSS... I forgot to say I also had a 96 XJ6 a few years back... which is probably the nicest car ever. X300 body, inline-6, Ford electrics...

Welcome Canario,

You sound like a real Brit car enthusiast, I haven't seen a Riley Elf in many a long year.

I just looked at the pics, it's a wee cracker!
