Default New Member Deciding Between to Jaguar Models

Please forgive my quick intro--I'll return for s proper introduction. In trying to abide by posting etiquette, I don't want to risk a a double post but am not certain where to ask the following question. Any feedback is appreciated. I'm deciding to purchase one of these two cars and am looking for feedback, just based on value. A 2007 Jaguar XK, 85,000 miles, $18,500. Or. A 2006 Jaguar XJ, 58,000 miles, $12,000. Both essentially one owner, near-new condition, maintained at obsession level. There are buyers waiting behind me, so I have to decide quickly. Thanks again for any thoughts.

Hello,
One of the Moderators will be along shortly to direct you to the relative sections where you can ask questions and get to learn about each model you're considering.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums.
To me Jaguar ownership is more about passion than financial responsibility. For me it would be the XK but you can't go wrong with either one. Do you need a usable back seat?

Welcome to the forum bystrange,

I've moved your post in X308 forum to X350 forum.

Both great cars. If you don't want/need four doors and rear seats, the XK would be my choice.

With any used Jaguar, a comprehensive service history is crucial. If there's unexplained gaps then walk away.

Graham

Thank you to everyone for your insights. The decision became easy when I went with my gut. Ready for a change from the large Chrysler 300C but wanted to keep the feel of the Hemi engine. My family will attest that I'm pretty obsessive about "my" car and really don't drive other people around--in 6 years only my husband drove my car--once, and if a passenger drops a piece of lint, they say I scream like a horror movie. So no need for extra room. (The grandkids in the photo won't fit with their car seats.) I'm only struggling to adjust to the older features and kinks--my center console wouldn't open (until I rigged a solution, thanks to Forum advice), and the Bluetooth doesn't recognize my phone, nav system is a bit outdated. Otherwise, a dream! Thank you again to everyone for weighing in. Love this community!
