Hello everyone, my name is Jared and I have multiple years of automotive training and experience. I'm a new jag owner after I purchased a 96 jaguar xj6 from a lady who parked it for 3 years and never touched it, I got it for a steal and am just trying to get it back on the road, it's had a bunch of issues that I need to work on, and it's very different from the cars and trucks I normally work on. I'm loving working on it so far and am glad to have the help and experience of all of the people who are on this site.

Hello, Jared,
Classic Jaguars are indeed different from any Mercan car on the road today. With all your experience though, you'll figure it out soon, and then you'll be shaking your head, "Why in the WORLD did they do it that way??!!"

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Jared,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link US Northeast - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
