Hello all.

My name is Bill from Houston Texas and this is my first Jaguar.

I was actually looking for a 2011 RX8 which I could have gotten for less than half of what I paid for the Jaguar.

I ended up with a 2011 XK Base Coupe in Caviar (Plum is probably more descriptive but much too plebeian) with tan (I think it is caramel) interior.

It has only 11,600 miles and is in excellent shape.

This is the first hard top I have owned in 30 years and the largest car I have owned in 10 years so it will take some getting used to.

I will set up my avatar and signature as soon as I get a couple of photos.

I brought it home yesterday at about 5:30 pm.

Congratulations Bill. Welcome to our forum.

Jag wins over an XR8, I can understand that.

Look forward to the Pics. Plum and Caramel sounds a little like e recipe.

Enjoy.

Welcome to the forum Bill,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

You'll find a manufacturer label on the driver's door pillar with 3 letter Paint Code and 3 letter Trim Code. We can give you the actual colour names from that information.

Follow this link XK / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USS Southwest Region forum by following this link USA Southwest - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
