Hi everyone. It's nice to meet you all. My name is Tom, but I am also used to being called Sportston. Either is fine.

I've just bought a 2000 S-Type 3.0 V6. I'm really pleased with it and looking forward to being part of the Jag owning community. It has a few minor niggles so I am sure I will find this forum helpful to get to the bottom of them.

I am an ex-mechanic (a long time ago) and love cars and motorcycles. I also own a 1975 Suzuki GT380 and a Suzuki Bandit 1200S.

Hello, Tom,
Congratulations on your new-to-you Jaguar S-type!
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to our S-type section where members will help you with any problems you might have, or you can just hand out there.

Welcome to the forums Tom,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome to the forum Tom,

Good to have you with us.
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge.

You might want to add your general location to your profile and the car's details to the available signature line; this makes descriptions like "driver’s side" more relevant when posting to the forums...

I've tried to find a way to do both, but have been unable to find an option to do it. Perhaps it is because I am using a phone.
Thank you for all the warm welcomes.

Tom,

That is precisely the reason.

I've added 2000 S-Type 3.0 V6 as your forum signature but this won't appear when you post from a phone. Unfortunately I can't do the same for Location. Please add Glasgow, Scotland next time you can logon with a PC or laptop.
